Kevin Durant Honoured As NBA MVP: A well deserved trophy for the Roc Nation Sport managed star
Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant has finally been named NBA’s Most Valuable Player for his tremendous achievement this session (2013/2014).
With his records this session and what he has done for his team in absence of three-time All-Star Russell Westbrook, who was sidelined because of a nagging knee injury, most people had been rooting for KD to be crowned MVP.
The OKC star won the NBA’s top honor on today (6th may), capturing 119 first-place votes after this season, in which he also scored the league’s coveted scoring title for the fourth time.
This is his first time ever receiving the trophy. Second place went to Miami Heat’s LeBron James, who won the last two MVP awards (including four of the previous five) and Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers came third.
A well deserved award for Durant, Eyes and Voice can tell you. This year KD had an incredible season, helping the Thunder finish their season with a 59-23 record (second best in the league), averaging 32 points per game, accumulating a career-high 5.5 assists per game.
Kevin Durant’s big win is also another major victory for Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports. KD was the fourth athlete to sign to Jay Z’s agency in June of last year.
“He has a 90.5 percent free throw shooting rate, the youngest player in NBA history to join the 50-40-90, a giving individual and a legend in the making. What more can I say?”
