After months of rumours, teasers and speculation Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea have premiered their much anticipated collaboration ‘Pretty Girls‘.

The track which has writing credits from Iggy and UK girl-group Little Mix features both performers prominently and has strong parallels to Iggy’s signature hit ‘Fancy‘.

The two have already filmed an 80s-inspired music video in Los Angeles and are scheduled to perform the track live at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards on May 17.

Interestingly enough this will be Britney’s first award show performance since the the 2011 Billboard Music Awards where she featured in live performances from both Rihanna and Nicki Minaj.

Britney who is currently in the middle of her very successful Britney: Piece of Me Las Vegas residency confirmed last year that she is working on new music after resigning with music label RCA.

However it has not been confirmed as of yet whether a new full LP will be released this year or if she is just dropping a few singles here and there?

Meanwhile Iggy Azalea has confirmed plans of a new album release this year. She has stated on Twitter that while ‘Pretty Girls‘ serves more as a Britney track, her next lead single will be a solo release which is something that many of her fans have campaigned for.

Since last year much of her chart success has featured catchy hooks from the likes of Charlie XCX, Rita Ora and Jennifer Hudson. If she were to have a high charting solo hit then it would further solidify her star power and place in the music industry today.
