Jennifer Lopez Announces 2016 Las Vegas Residency

J.Lo Vegas EV

Las Vegas is getting a new resident!

Jennifer Lopez has now officially confirmed that she will indeed be heading to the Las Vegas strip in 2016 to headline a new show at Planet Hollywood’s AXIS Theatre.

The AXIS Theatre is currently the home of Britney Spears ‘Piece of Me‘ show which is scheduled to run for their until the end of year (with the likelihood of extending).

After countless live performances, award show tributes and much improved vocals there is no doubt the J.Lo will put on quite a show!

Despite being in the music industry since 1999, it wasn’t until 2012 when Jennifer went on her first extensive world tour. The ‘Dance Again‘ tour grossed nearly $75 million, proving that there was a big enough fan base who are willing to watch her perform live.

However in Vegas she now faces stiff competition from the likes of Britney, Mariah and of course Celine Dion (who single-handedly revived Las Vegas fortunes).

With ‘American Idol‘ set to end in 2016, Jennifer is wasting no time in planning her future! She is also scheduled to star in the new NBC drama cop series ‘Shades of Blue‘ opposite Ray Liotta and Drea de Matteo next fall.

Speaking on her new gig, J.Lo says that “The show is going to be a multifaceted high energy Jenny from the Block party, mixing all aspects of what my fans and I love—Dance, Hip Hop, Latin and Pop. It’s going to be the show I’ve always dreamt of creating.”

Tickets for the show go on sale Saturday May 16 at 10am. Click here for full details on prices and 2016 show dates.
