New Katy Perry Album Coming This Fall?
Nearly three years since the release of her last album ‘Prism‘, it seems the time may be near for Katy Perry’s full pop comeback.
Having recently tested the waters with her official Olympic’s track ‘Rise‘, it now looks like all is in place for Katy to dominate the airwaves once again before the year is out.
According to insiders her new album will be released in October or November and will create a buzz that will lead into another world tour in 2017.
Katy’s last trek ‘The Prismatic World Tour‘ lasted nearly 16 months and grossed more than $204 million from 151 shows, becoming her most successful tour to date.
With so much happening between her ”break” which included a much talked about relationship with actor Orlando Bloom, her questioned association with long-term producer Dr. Luke during the Kesha legal case and the ever continuing feud with pop rival Taylor Swift, Katy has a lot of ground to cover emotionally for her fourth mainstream album.
Another questioned to be raised is whether Katy can continued her pop supremacy that has continued since her breakthrough in 2008. With some of the singles from ‘Prism‘ not performing as strongly as the ones from ‘Teenage Dream‘ and with fellowed rumoured releases from fellow contemporaries including Britney Spears and Lady Gaga it seems that pop is ready to come full cycle for the remainder of 2016!
